Redwire Space in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Mechanical Engineer (mid to senior) to join our advanced design team focused on satellites, launch adapters, and space structures. You will design mechanisms, perform analysis, and create manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and GD&T.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in aerospace or high-reliability fields, with experience in materials, surface treatments, and design for manufacturing. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3+ years in aerospace or high-reliability industries.
• Strong SolidWorks experience and familiarity with space materials.
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with materials and surface treatments for space.

Responsabilités

• Review and establish program requirements.
• Own mechanical systems and coordinate cross-team interactions.
• Develop 3D mechanism designs in SolidWorks.
• Create manufacturing drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, and manufacturers.
• Follow internal QA processes per AS9100.
