Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Member of Technical Staff focused on launch operations readiness and advanced analytics in the national space enterprise. You’ll contribute to analyses, simulations, and risk assessments across multiple programs, collaborating with program offices and customers.

Required are advanced degrees in aerospace, mathematics, or physics, plus 0–1 year postgraduate experience, strong programming in Python/C++/Fortran, and ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Aerospace engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field (Pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• 0–1 year of postgraduate professional experience.
• Strong organizational skills: multitask, deadlines, deliverables.
• Aptitude with astrodynamics and related mathematics.
• Ability in mathematical formulation and derivation.
• Experience developing and using computer software tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Transcripts are required.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to diverse projects involving analyses and software development across focus areas (collision avoidance, modeling, risk).
• Support real-time operations and analyses including launch and on-orbit collision risk.
• Conduct deep dives, trade studies, and assessments with teams to address customer needs.
• Develop and present timely, accurate briefings and reports with recommended solutions.
• Travel occasionally to support customer efforts.
