Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to design and implement efficient manufacturing systems for space vehicle production. You will lead tooling, process flows, and documentation while collaborating with design, quality, and supply chain teams to accelerate mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years Level 2 Manufacturing Engineer, 5+ years Level 3 Manufacturing Engineer, or 8+ years Sr Manufacturing Engineer.
• 1+ years creating English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design for manufacturability, DFA, DFT for space vehicles.
• Translate engineering requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, QA, supply chain, and production teams.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and inspection plans.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation.
• Apply AI technologies to optimize processes and improve first-time quality.
