Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own the full lifecycle of manufacturing processes for space vehicle components. You will define work instructions, manage BOMs, and drive continuous improvement for hit rate, quality, and cost targets.

Focus areas include welding, electronics fabrication, and New Glenn sub-assemblies. The role requires collaboration with design, QA, and production to industrialize new products and ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
  • 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S., with ability to relocate/shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support industrialization of new products across solar arrays, integration, avionics, and structures.
  • Contribute to DFM, DFA, and DFT to enable high-rate, reliable production.
  • Translate requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space vehicle builds.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing docs: work instructions, flow diagrams, tools, inspection plans.
