Job summary

Astranis is seeking an FPGA Intern for Summer 2027 to work on RTL development for FPGA-targeted applications and to interface FPGAs with high-speed peripherals. Interns typically participate for twelve weeks in an hourly role while enrolled at a four-year university.

As an intern, you will contribute to hardware/software that may head to space on our first satellite, with opportunities to become a full-time employee. US citizenship or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience designing, implementing, and testing high-throughput systems on FPGAs
• Proficiency with Verilog/SystemVerilog for synthesis
• Interested in hardware development in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• RTL Development for FPGA targeted applications
• Work with multiple FPGAs and toolchains
• Interface FPGAs with peripherals including high-speed data converters, memories, MCUs
• Write software to interface and test RTL in hardware
