Job summary

Argotec seeks an Embedded Software Engineer in our U.S. office to join the flight software team for satellite platforms and avionics systems.

You will design, develop and optimize embedded software for on-board computers, radios and attitude control systems, ensuring modular, reusable code for future missions. You will work across the full software lifecycle, implement RTOS configurations, and collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate software with hardware constraints while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3+ years of experience in embedded software development or relevant roles.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for avionics and satellite platforms.
• Work through the full software development lifecycle from requirements to test and results.
• Configure and tailor Real-time Operating Systems on on-board computers.
• Participate in integration and testing of flight software on avionics systems and satellites.
• Identify and support core tools for performance analysis.
• Design and develop tools (e.g., scripts, simulators, digital twins).
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define system architecture and hardware integration.
• Support path-to-production and maintain software on orbit throughout satellite lifecycles.
