Job summary

Argotec is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the U.S. office to work on flight software for small satellite platforms and avionics systems.

You will design, develop, and optimize embedded software for on-board computers and data handling, collaborating across teams to ensure modular, reusable code for future missions. The role requires 3+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and clear English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 3+ years of experience in embedded software development or related roles.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for avionic systems.
• Work through the full software development lifecycle from requirements to test and results reporting.
• Configure and tailor Real-time Operating Systems on on-board computers.
• Participate in integration and testing of flight software on avionics systems and satellites.
• Identify and support tools for performance analysis.
• Design and develop tools (scripts, simulators, digital twins) to help deliver high-quality flight software.
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to define architecture and integrate software with hardware constraints.
• Support path-to-production for developed software solutions.
• Maintain software deployed to orbit throughout satellite lifecycles and flight operations.
