Job summary

Argotec INC is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for our U.S. office in Florida. You will design, develop, and optimize flight software for satellite platforms and avionics systems, from on-board computers to attitude control.

You will collaborate to build portable modules for onboard data handling and advanced processing, aiming for high code reusability across missions. You will lead the development lifecycle, tailor RTOS, and drive testing and integration on flight hardware, while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in CS/Software Eng or related fields.
• At least 5+ years in embedded software development or related roles.
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.
• Excellent written and oral English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for avionic systems.
• Work through the full software development lifecycle from requirements to test.
• Configure Real-time Operating Systems on on-board computers.
• Integrate and test flight software on avionics systems and satellites.
• Identify and support a core set of tools for performance analysis.
• Develop tools (scripts, simulators, digital twins) for flight software quality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define system architecture.
• Support path-to-production for developed software solutions.
• Maintain software deployed to orbit throughout satellite lifecycles.
• Coach junior developers on software design methodologies.
• Interface with external stakeholders (space agencies, subsystem providers).
• Serve as technical leader in cross-functional teams.
