CesiumAstro, Inc. seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design and implement software for our satellite and aerospace products.

You will work across the software stack from MCU/SoC firmware to high-level applications, contributing to product roadmaps and in-orbit support. You should have 5+ years in embedded development, strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and familiarity with ARM, BSPs, and real-time Linux.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in CS, EE, or CE.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience in embedded hardware development and API design for interfacing with FPGAs.
• Experience with aerospace products.
• C/C++ programming.
• Embedded systems with preemptive RTOS (RT-Linux desirable).
• Familiarity with CM tools, defect tracking, and peer reviews.
• Strong knowledge of real-time coding, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
• Strong multi-threading and resource management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement software for embedded devices from requirements to production.
• Develop, code, test, debug, and document system software.
• Review code and system designs.
• Analyze code for efficiency, stability, and scalability.
• Integrate and validate new product designs.
• Support software QA and optimize I/O performance.
• Provide post-production/in-orbit customer support.
• Interface with hardware design engineers.
• Assess third-party and open-source software.
