Job summary

Blue Origin on Merritt Island is seeking an entry-level CAD Drafter II to develop and maintain 3D parametric models and 2D drawings for ground support equipment used in New Glenn launch operations and test facilities.

Under supervision of senior designers, you will apply ASME Y14.100, Y14.5, and Y14.41 standards, create MBD datasets, and coordinate with mechanical, structural, fluid, and electrical teams using Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM.

Qualifications

• 2-year AS degree in CAD or equivalent technical certification.
• Foundational GD&T experience and ability to read/interpret drawings.
• Capability to design/draft for aerospace or related mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience with 3D parametric modeling and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detail part and assembly models and drawings using Creo Parametric 12 and Windchill PLM under supervision.
• Support Model-Based Definition datasets including 3D annotations and PMI states per ASME guidelines.
• Assist with mechanical/structural layouts and electrical enclosure drawings.
• Review drawings for conformance to specifications and drafting notes.
• Follow company and industry standards and participate in release checks.
