Job summary

Vast is seeking an Avionics Manufacturing Technician to support the design and build of space station hardware in Long Beach. You will work with engineering to execute high-precision electrical builds, focusing on wire harnesses, cables, and test systems on a second shift.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience with electronics test gear, soldering PCBs in tight spaces, and a keen attention to quality. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and willingness to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses in aerospace or commercial settings.
• 1+ years using electronics equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• 1+ years using basic mechanical/electronics hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Construct wire cables, PCB assembly, test racks and systems.
• Assist avionics engineering by iterating components and cables.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering to turn concepts into hardware.
• Monitor work against standards and meet schedules.
• Interpret drawings and regulated docs and procedures.
• Understand complex cables, drawings, GD&T concepts.
• Verify flight hardware and document results.
• Help develop manufacturing processes for initial runs.
• Contribute to efficiency improvements in the area.
