Job summary

Vast Space Llc. is seeking an Avionics PCBA Soldering Technician in Long Beach to join the Avionics Manufacturing team. You will perform complex soldering and repair on PCBA units, collaborating with engineering to turn concepts into tangible hardware for next-generation space stations.

The role requires 3+ years soldering PCBA, familiarity with high-density components, and readiness for evening/weekend shifts. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong focus on mission milestones.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience soldering PCBA assemblies.
2+ years of experience using basic mechanical, electronics hand tools, and/or electronics equipment (e.g. programmable power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes).
Experience with flight hardware or high-speed production environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Execute soldering and repair procedures on PCBA per IPC-J-STD-001 Space Addendum.
Collaborate with engineering to translate concepts into hardware.
Monitor work progress against standards and meet schedules.
Interpret drawings, documents, and procedures accurately.
Understand cable harnesses, wiring diagrams, and GD&T.
Verify flight hardware and document outcomes.
Help develop manufacturing processes for initial production runs.
Contribute to projects to increase operational efficiency.
