Job summary

The United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan (MI) is seeking a CL 26/27 facilities and space planning professional to oversee non-routine construction projects and daily facilities operations. The role involves coordinating with GSA, architects, and court units to ensure efficient space utilization and compliance with guidelines.

Responsibilities include CAD/BIM-enabled design work, budget coordination, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with a minimum of one year of specialized experience for CL 26.
• Two years specialized experience for CL 27.
• Five or more years of specialized experience preferred.
• Experience with GSA project oversight and Federal Judiciary project oversight is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor facilities management issues, space planning, and related operations.
• Coordinate procurement to plan, specify, and acquire goods/services.
• Attend project meetings and advise court management on project status and feasibility.
• Prepare CAD/BIM drawings and specifications for projects and coordinate with GSA/architects.
• Coordinate budgets, schedules, and space finishes for facility spaces.
• Maintain project files for facilities management and space planning.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
