Job summary

TRIDENT SYSTEMS LLC, Fairfax, VA, seeks a Program Manager to lead complex space electronics programs from development through production. You will own cost, schedule, and risk, interfacing with customers and coordinating with a Lead Systems Engineer to drive delivery and strategic leadership.

The role requires 9+ years of related experience, PMP or eligibility, and strong skills in program financials, planning, and government contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 9+ years (or Master’s with 7+) of relevant experience.
• Experience managing space or aerospace-related programs, ideally involving electronic systems or hardware development.
• Proven success managing government programs (FAR-based contracts, multiple CLINs).
• Strong background in program financials, planning, and execution.
• PMP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more space flight programs, ensuring successful execution.
• Drive program performance to meet cost, schedule, and risk commitments.
• Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with critical path, milestones, and resource loading.
• Establish and manage labor and non-labor resource plans with staffing timing.
• Identify engineering resource needs to support program execution.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure aligned execution across departments.
• Drive subcontractor performance and accountability to meet commitments.
• Set expectations and align SEIT and broader engineering teams.
• Maintain risk and opportunity matrix with burn-down plans and mitigations.
• Serve as primary customer interface and maintain strong communication.
• Oversee program financials, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support proposal efforts and contribute to growth opportunities.
• Mentor and develop other Program Managers within PMO.
