Job summary

Moog Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Hardware Engineer to lead design, development and production of space electronics. You will work with NASA projects and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, flight-ready hardware.

The role requires a BS in EE and 3+ years of experience in electronic systems, PCBA design, embedded FPGA/ASIC, and space-grade components. You will manage requirements, testing, and fabrication, while communicating clearly with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3+ years leading electronic systems projects including PCBA design, embedded FPGA/ASIC, or space vehicle integration.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing cost, schedule, risk, and technical execution.
• Experience deriving and verifying requirements using DOORS, JAMA, or Polarion.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance and access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead engineer and technical point of contact for design, development, and production of space electronics.
• Provide project leadership to cross-site teams for development, qualification, and production programs.
• Manage budget, schedule, risk, and technical execution, addressing scope creep as needed.
• Derive and verify product requirements; coordinate verification across disciplines and document results.
• Author and review analyses and reports; ensure data meets customer specs and delivery deadlines.
• Author test procedures; assist in design verification testing and PCB testing; interpret PCBA schematics.
• Resolve non-conformances during manufacturing/testing including FRB and RCCA actions.
