Job summary

Northstrat is seeking an experienced User Engagement Engineer with a systems engineering background to join an established space domain awareness (SDA) software development program spanning multiple locations. The role will involve documenting incidents, tracking status, informing users of plans and deliverables, and managing expectations for system capabilities and delivery timelines.

It also includes elucidating functionality, developing user guides, and training users.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with CI poly and willingness to be read into SAPs.
• Minimum five years of systems engineering experience for space systems or related field.
• Experience in space operations, SDA/space control, and indications and warnings.

Responsibilities

• Document incidents for operations.
• Track status of current incidents and provide updates to users.
• Inform users of development planning, status, and deliverables.
• Manage user expectations on system capabilities and delivery timelines.
• Elucidate system functionality.
• Develop system tradecraft and user guides to support real-world operations.
• Support transition from a legacy system to a modern architecture.
• Provide informal “over-the-shoulder” training to users.
• Connect users to the customer for requests requiring approvals Connect the customer to site personnel to support software delivery and system integration.
• Facilitate on-site discussions and meetings with system users and stakeholders.
