Job summary

Northstrat Incorporated seeks an experienced User Engagement Engineer with a systems engineering background to support an SDA software program across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents, tracking status, informing users of progress, and facilitating on-site discussions with stakeholders, while transitioning from legacy systems to modern architecture and delivering user guides for real-world operations.

Qualifications

• Must have TS/SCI with CI poly and be willing to be read into SAP.
• Minimum five years of systems engineering experience for space systems or related field.
• Experience in space operations, SDA and indications and warnings.

Northstrat is seeking an experienced User Engagement Engineer with a systems engineering background to join an established space domain awareness (SDA) software development program spanning multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Document incidents for operations
• Track status of current incidents and provide updates to users
• Inform users of development planning, status, and deliverables
• Manage user expectations on system capabilities and delivery timelines
• Elucidate system functionality
• Develop system tradecraft and user guides to support real‑world operations
• Support transition from a legacy system to a modern architecture
• Provide informal “over‑the‑shoulder” training to users
• Connect users to the customer for requests requiring approvalsConnect the customer to site personnel to support software delivery and system integration
• Facilitate on‑site discussions and meetings with system users and stakeholders

Requirements

• Must have TS/SCI with CI poly and be willing to be read into special access programs (SAPs)
• Minimum five years of systems engineering experience for space systems or related field
• Experience in space operations, space domain awareness (SDA)/space control, and indications and warnings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience liaising between multiple organizations
• Experience briefing and interfacing with government leadership
• Experience facilitating working groups
• Excellent communication skills, especially with remote teams
• Self‑starter and self‑advocate; able to operate in a small site presence
