Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an engineer to develop and analyze wireless-communication algorithms for the TeraWave platform. You will work on PHY/MAC, RF, and DSP across ASIC and software teams to model, simulate, and verify system performance.

Responsibilities include end-to-end modeling, impairment analysis, and guiding hardware integration, with travel up to 20% and relocation provided. This role is onsite at multiple U.S. sites including Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years in wireless communication systems or related field.
• Strong understanding of digital communications and signal processing fundamentals.
• Experience with OFDM, QPSK/QAM, synchronization, channel estimation and LDPC/FEC.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, SystemC or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and model wireless communication algorithms for custom silicon, including PHY/MAC and DSP.
• Create end-to-end system and link-level models to evaluate performance and tradeoffs.
• Analyze RF impairments and channel effects impacting system performance.
• Design algorithms for synchronization, channel estimation, equalization, modulation, coding, and link adaptation.
• Translate requirements for FPGA/ASIC implementation and assist pre-silicon validation.
