Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking engineers to advance the TeraWave Custom Silicon as part of a space communications initiative. You will design and optimize signal-processing blocks, work toward lowest power and highest performance, and prepare algorithms for FPGA and ASIC realization.

You'll collaborate across ASIC, RFIC and software teams, model channel impairments, and help bring pre-silicon prototypes to life while validating post-silicon performance for demanding space

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in signal processing or modem design
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Experience with networking, MAC/PHY, DSP, RF or mixed-signal designs
• Experience with MATLAB, SystemC, C/C++ or other system-level tools
• Knowledge of DSP and communications systems (OFDM, QPSK, QAM, PCM/FM, PAM)
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in EE/CE or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop models and algorithms for TeraWave Custom Silicon, including packet processing, MAC, PHY, and DSP
• Drive for lowest power consumption and highest performance
• Target algorithms for FPGA and ASIC implementation
• Support ASIC implementation through pre-silicon verification
• Design advanced digital end-to-end communication systems
• Develop and model channel impairment models
• Collaborate with ASIC, RFIC and SW teams
• Work with application team to bring up prototype pre-silicon and validate post-silicon performance
