Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior technical engineer to design and optimize communications systems and modem algorithms for the TeraWave network. You will collaborate with ASIC, RF, firmware, and system teams from algorithm development to system validation.

Responsibilities include modeling channels, developing DSP workflows in MATLAB/Python/C++, and evaluating tradeoffs between performance and complexity for end-to-end communication systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize PHY, modem, and DSP algorithms for high-throughput satellite communication systems.
• Develop algorithms for synchronization, carrier and sampling frequency offset estimation and compensation, channel estimation, equalization, SNR estimation, modulation/demodulation.
• Model and analyze communication channels and impairments, including noise, fading, interference, RF impairments.
• Translate modem algorithms into the TeraWave implementation with cross-functional teams.
• Support pre-silicon verification, prototyping, and post-silicon validation of modem algorithms.
