Job summary

Amentum’s Civil/Structural Engineer will design non-flight hardware and support Space Launch System programs at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. You'll work with large assemblies, perform FEM analyses, and provide fabrication support for complex structures and mechanisms.

This role requires a BS in engineering, 5 years of civil-structural experience, and strong communication. Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and industry codes is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Five years of civil-structural design and analysis experience.
• FE exam desired or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Conform to civil-structural design criteria and provide guidance for facility projects.
• Produce structural calculations and drawings for customer records and submittals per IBC/ASCE7/AISC/ACI.
• Develop structural designs for steel framing, supports, foundations, and connections across complex projects.
