Job summary

Nova Space Solutions, LLC seeks a Civil Structural Engineer to join the Engineering Services Department, primarily at NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA, with occasional work at Stennis Space Center, MS. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 1–3 years of related civil‑structural design experience; Master’s may substitute.
• Familiarity with ASCE, ANSI/AISC, ACI, AWWA, AWS, AWC, NFPA, EPA, IBC/ICC, LEED and similar codes.
• Software experience with PTC, Autodesk, Bentley, RISA, and related design tools.
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain NASA badge; valid driver’s license; ability to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop civil/structural designs for new or modified facilities.
• Create design proposals with cost and schedule estimates.
• Monitor status of ongoing design projects and prepare plans/specs.
• Perform structural analyses and numerical simulations (FEA, etc.).
• Review vendor submittals and RFIs; support construction phases.
