Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Space Launch System (SLS) Payload Integration Element at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. You will help develop system requirements, verifications, and flight evaluation activities and coordinate with IPC teams to mature critical interfaces.

The role requires a degree in engineering, US citizenship with STAR ID, and experience across disciplines to resolve complex integration challenges and participate in milestone

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering or related field required.
• ABET-accredited university preferred; master’s with relevant experience or BS with 3+ years.
• Must be a US Citizen and have a STAR ID.
• Experience across organizational boundaries to resolve vehicle/propulsion integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of system requirements, verification products, and flight evaluation activities.
• Support interfaces between ISPE sub-elements, other SLS vehicle elements, EGS and Orion programs.
• Participate in reviews, milestones, and risk management activities.
