Amentum's Space Exploration Division (ASED) is hiring a structural analyst to support NASA MSFC space systems development. You will perform structural analyses, develop stress packages, and provide leadership to a team of analysts while interfacing with program stakeholders and NASA centers.

Qualifications include a BS in an accredited engineering field, 1+ years FE experience, NASA standards knowledge, and strong communication skills. US citizenship and STAR ID are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree from ABET-accredited institution in Mechanical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering; structural analysis emphasis.
• US Citizenship and STAR ID required.
• 1+ years experience applying FE methods and structural analysis.
• Experience with Environmental Life Control & Support System spaceflight equipment.
• Knowledge of NASA/MSFC standards; joints, fasteners, adhesives, welds, interfaces.
• Experience with FE/CAD tools: Femap, Simcenter, NASTRAN, Hypermesh, Hyperworks, Abaqus, Ansys.
• Proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proof of US Citizenship and STAR ID.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural analyses for space systems hardware (flight and non-flight).
• Provide technical oversight in structural evaluation of ECS equipment and flight hardware.
• Develop formal stress analysis packages using strength-of-materials and FE methods.
• Lead and mentor fellow analysts; interface with stakeholders and outside vendors.
• Contribute to preliminary designs and deliver reports/presentations to management.
