Job summary

Impulse Space is seeking an Avionics Test Technician in Redondo Beach to perform electrical, thermal, and functional testing of spacecraft avionics hardware. You will work with engineering and production teams to ensure accurate test execution and flight-ready hardware.

The role emphasizes board-level testing, use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, data acquisition systems, and strict adherence to procedures within a high-reliability environment. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform board-level functional and verification testing per procedures.
• Operate electrical test equipment to validate performance.
• Set up test fixtures, harnesses, and instrumentation.
• Follow test plans with configuration and revision control.
• Identify and document test anomalies and escalate to engineering.
• Verify sensor calibration prior to test execution.
• Collect, review, and validate test data with traceability.
• Support debug and re-test after hardware changes.
• Assist in developing and validating test procedures with engineering.
• Maintain test logs and reports per quality requirements.
