Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Electronics and Payloads Directorate in Manhattan Beach, CA, seeks a Principal Engineer ASIC or Senior Principal Engineer ASIC. You will contribute to digital designs for cutting-edge space applications, including RTL design, verification, and lab integration.

The role requires space domain RTL experience, ASIC/FPGA architecture work, and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. Excellent collaboration across teams will be key to success.

Qualifications

• STEM degree with relevant engineering experience; advanced degrees optional for level.
• Experience in RTL (VHDL/Verilog) for space applications.
• Design/architecture of ASIC/FPGA based on requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop RTL design for digital space systems.
• Perform simulation, emulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and checks.
• Develop verification plans and test benches using SystemVerilog/UVM.
• Review and audit simulation test procedures and environments.
• Coordinate with lab teams to ensure hardware-test readiness.
