The Spa Reception / Attendant is responsible for assisting the spa staff in providing a unique and outstanding spa experience for our members and guests. He / she is also responsible for scheduling all spa related appointments, checking guests in and out, and assisting in the daily cleaning and operational duties, including retail sales.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all guests and members.
- Check guests and members in and out, including administering keys to locker areas.
- Handle operational functions of the spa, including using Spa software, POS systems, answering telephones, making appointments, and addressing guest questions.
- Serve as the initial and comprehensive source of information regarding available spa services and procedures to ensure guest comfort.
- Arrange all spa appointments for à la carte services, activities, and packages.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the facilities, ensuring all amenities are in proper working order.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Ability to work various hours/shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which varies according to the hotel's needs.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag.
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Be proactive in anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and warm demeanor at all times.
