Job summary

The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary, NC seeks a full-time Spa Receptionist to manage guest arrivals, schedule services, and assist guests with a variety of spa and hotel inquiries.

Responsibilities include maintaining daily schedules, assisting with training, promoting services, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Secretarial skills such as typing, filing, etc.
• Must attend product knowledge training.
• Computer software skills required.
• First Aid and CPR training desired, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the facility is prepared for proper opening and closing each day, i.e., lights on/off, music on/off, doors locked/unlocked.
• Makes appointments for ala carte services and packages for immediate as well as future appointments.
• Acts as a resource for spa and hotel policies, programs, services, refunds, memberships, etc.
• Continually understands all spa and hotel services, products and sales items.
• Prints daily schedule and guest packages for the day.
• Monitors daily appointments to ensure proper staffing.
• Prepares daily reports and receipts for services and retail sales.
• Promotes and sells gifts cards; works with accounting for billing procedures.
