Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Guest Services Associate at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will greet guests, check in and assist with brand marketing programs, ensuring courteous, high-quality service in line with brand standards.

You will handle payments, balance the house bank, process charges, and promptly resolve guest concerns to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficient in using a calculator for moderately complex calculations.
• Ability to handle difficult customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Able to stand and move throughout spa and perform duties.
• Ability to input information accurately into a moderately complex computer system.
• Ability to recognize emergency situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication; adaptable to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly welcome and provide service.
• Complete the check-in process using a computer system and promote brand programs.
• Handle cash, balance the house bank, and post charges to guest rooms.
• Answer the telephone promptly and retrieve messages for guests.
• Close guest accounts at checkout and resolve dissatisfaction with appropriate action.
• Address guest complaints, research and resolve problems, and negotiate solutions.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
