Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a courteous and energetic server at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. You will provide guests with exceptional service, greet and assist, input orders into the POS, and ensure accurate delivery of meals and beverages while maintaining compliance with policies and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attentiveness to guest needs, and consistent promotion of menu items. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods is required.

Qualifications

• Maintains professional appearance at all times.
• Team player who can pitch-in with coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, standards and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Ability to remember and promote menu items.
• Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs and move large trays.
• Operates POS and inputs orders accurately.
• Strong verbal and written communication; adapts to audiences.

Responsibilities

• Check station for proper setup and cleanliness before, during and after shift.
• Greet guests and explain specials/promotions.
• Record guest orders and confirm accuracy with guests.
• Input orders into POS and relay to kitchen.
• Retrieve and deliver orders up to 30 lbs to guests with accuracy.
• Abide by state and corporate requirements for serving beverages.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Promote desserts and specialty coffees as requested.
• Close out checks using POS and ensure guest satisfaction.
