Job summary

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Spa team and be an integral part of our guest-focused service.

In this luxury Five-Star Five-Diamond environment on Michigan Avenue, you will oversee front desk operations, schedule Guest Service Agents, manage inventories, and uphold Peninsula/Forbes standards while delivering a guest-centric experience. US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of spa desk experience in luxury property.
• Knowledge of PMS/Opera (Opera PMS)
• Ability to handle high workload and pressure with strong organization
• Excellent command of written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Oversee all front desk operations and staff to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Complete scheduling of Guest Service Agents
• Perform weekly and monthly inventories of all supplies and amenities
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the spa desk and coordination between departments
• Promote spa services and activities in response to member/guest inquiries
• Maintain Peninsula and Forbes standards in performance
• Communicate with all departments to create a guest-centric experience
• Comply with Head Office database requirements

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Spa team and be an integral part of our guest-focused service.

Key Accountabilities

• Oversee all front desk operations and staff to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Complete scheduling of Guest Service Agents
• Perform weekly and monthly inventories of all personal care, professional supplies, guest and operating supplies, linen, locker room supplies, office supplies and beverage station supplies.
• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the spa desk and assists with the coordination of efforts between other departments.
• Promote spa services and activities responding to member/guest inquiries and/or directs to appropriate sources for information.
• Knowledgeable and fully adheres to both Peninsula and Forbes standards.
• Maintain consistency in performance in accordance with both Peninsula and Forbes standards
• Communicate with all departments to create a guest centric experience
• Be in full compliance with Head Office database requirements

General Requirements

• 3 years of spa desk experience in luxury property ideal
• Knowledge of PMS/Opera and some knowledge in rooms department preferred
• Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure, individual must have great organization skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English

To be considered for the position, you must have work authorization in the United States. The salary range for this role is $62,000-67,000 per year.
