Job summary

The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Reservations Agent to join our team and deliver guest‑centric service for a luxury Five‑Star property on Michigan Avenue. You will manage reservations using Opera PMS and uphold Peninsula and Forbes standards, coordinating with other departments for a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of luxury reservations experience, excellent English, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• 2 years of room Reservations experience in luxury property.
• Knowledge of Opera PMS and some knowledge in Housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to handle high work demand with strong organization.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation of all responsibilities of Reservations operations
• Adhere to Peninsula and Forbes standards
• Maintain consistency in performance according to Peninsula and Forbes standards
• Communicate with all departments to create a guest centric experience
• Comply with Head Office database requirements
• Ensure efficient operation of Reservations with proper handover

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure proper operation of all responsibilities of Reservations operations
• Knowledgeable and fully adheres to both Peninsula and Forbes standards.
• Maintain consistency in performance in accordance with both Peninsula and Forbes standards
• Communicate with all departments to create a guest centric experience
• Be in full compliance with Head Office database requirements
• Ensure efficient operation of the Reservations responsibilities with efficient handover

General Requirements:

• 2 years of room Reservations experience in luxury property ideal
• Knowledge of PMS/Opera and some knowledge in Housekeeping department preferred
• Ability to deal with a high level of work demand and pressure, individual must have great organization skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
