Bartlett in Cherryvale, KS is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to keep plant areas clean, from grain receiving to refinery, ensuring food safety and quality. The role involves hands-on cleaning, cross-training across tasks, and supporting overall plant operations.

The position offers day hours with overtime, weekends as needed, and benefits. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and pass a background check.

The Basics

Location: Cherryvale, KS

Compensation: $17.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be mostly day hours, with some overtime, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Equipment Used: Brooms, hoses, vacuums, skid loader, forklift, scissor lift, air wands, shovels and other hand tools.

What you'll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include cleaning various areas at the plant, including, but not limited to the inside and outside of the following areas:

• grain receiving
• storage bins
• oil loading
• preparation
• extraction
• refinery

Common activities will include:

• sweeping
• shoveling
• using compressed air to blow down
• assisting with routine facility maintenance

Sanitation Specialists will be cross trained to perform a variety of tasks to support the overall operation of the plant.

You are responsible for food safety.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
