Bartlett in Kansas City, KS is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to install, repair, maintain, and refurbish grain handling equipment, including conveyors and legs that move bulk commodities. The role covers mechanical, electrical, PLCs, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry and painting; expect extended hours and callbacks on short notice.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, strong English reading/writing, and willingness to work overtime

The Basics

Location: Kansas City, KS

Compensation: $26.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 1st shift, 6am to 2pm, Monday through Friday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various diagnostic and repair tools

Equipment Repaired: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs that move bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What You’ll Be Doing

The duties of this hands‑on job will include installing, repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing grain handling equipment. This will include a variety of trades: mechanical, electrical and PLCs, welding and fabricating, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, concrete, painting, etc. Industrial Maintenance Technicians will work extended hours and callbacks on short notice.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
