Job summary

Seaboard Foods seeks a Sow Farm Assistant Supervisor to care for swine and help supervise farm employees under the direction of the site manager. You will ensure SOPs are followed, maintain health and biosecurity, and support accurate reporting.

The role involves hands-on animal care, staff training, and coordinating daily workflows at the sow farm. Candidates should be English proficient; an associate degree or related experience is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.
• Preferred: Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent; or 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Attend to swine care and supervise employees at the sow farm under the manager's direction.
• Ensure standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain herd health and biosecurity; keep accurate records of animals, employees and supplies.
• Train employees on day-to-day processes to develop a competent workforce.
• Supervise and schedule groups of employees and act as manager when the supervisor is not present.
• Assist and ensure timely and accurate weekly/daily reports.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Follow medication and vaccination protocols for the farm.
• Maintain the alarm system and respond to emergency calls.
