Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Carroll, IA, invites applicants for a Department Team Leader position. You will supervise nursery staff, ensure SOPs are followed, and maintain records for animals, employees, and supplies. You will train team members and ensure safety and biosecurity protocols are observed.

The role involves medication/vaccination protocol adherence, alarm system maintenance, and timely reporting. Strong English skills and a relevant associate degree or experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or tech school; or 6 months to 1 year related experience
• Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing

Responsibilities

• Supervise groups of employees and act as manager when supervisor is absent
• Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies
• Assist and ensure timely completion of weekly and daily reports
• Follow all safety procedures and SOPs
• Adhere to medication and vaccination protocols
• Maintain alarm and emergency systems and respond to alarms properly
• Provide hands-on training to employees to develop a competent workforce
• Ensure facilities are in good working condition and procedures are followed
