Job summary

The Office of U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Regional Representative based in Philadelphia, PA to conduct community outreach in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region.

This full-time role requires travel throughout the region and reports to the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Director. Primary responsibilities include conducting outreach in Philadelphia and surrounding counties, proactively creating engagement opportunities, representing the office at meetings and events, and briefing

Responsibilities

• Conduct community outreach in Philadelphia and surrounding counties.
• Proactively create opportunities for community engagement and coordinate with the Regional Director on regional engagement initiatives.
• Represent the office at community meetings and events, both virtual and in-person.
• Engage with constituents and stakeholders on the Senator’s behalf and keep leadership updated on local issues.
• Act as liaison with government, local officials, and community groups to better serve Pennsylvanians.
• Staff the Senator at events and prepare briefing documents for visits.

Job description

The Office of U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) seeks a Regional Representative to conduct community outreach in the Southeastern PA region of Pennsylvania. This position is full time and based in Philadelphia, PA but will require travel throughout the region. The Southeastern PA Regional Representative will report to the Eastern Pennsylvania Regional Director.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Conducting community outreach in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Delaware, and Chester Counties.
• Proactively creating opportunities for community engagement and working with the Director on regional engagement opportunities.
• Representing the office at community meetings and events both virtually and in-person.
• Engaging with constituents and stakeholders on the Senator’s behalf and keeping leadership up to date on current events facing constituents in the region.
• Acting as a liaison for government and working with local elected officials, community groups and constituent groups to help better serve Pennsylvanians.
• Staffing the Senator at events and preparing briefing documents for the visit.

The ideal applicant has strong ties to the assigned counties, a deep understanding of local issues and has exceptional communication and organizational skills. Ideal applicants should enjoy helping and connecting with the community, they should be able to work independently and have the desire to become further involved in communities in the Commonwealth.

The position will require frequent travel throughout the assigned region. Candidates must have their own transportation.
