JOEY Restaurants in Houston, TX is seeking a Sous Chef or Head Sous Chef to lead teams and deliver iconic culinary experiences. You will manage labor budgets, uphold high food safety standards, and mentor teammates to drive continuous learning and performance. Salary ranges: Sous Chef $60k-70k, Head Sous Chef $70k-80k per year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary experience.
• Possess valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
• Passion for hospitality and proven world-class hospitality.
• Able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Able to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support team in prep for ingredients and recipes per standards.
• Prepare and cook menu items per JOEY recipes; coordinate with stations.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, safe prep and cooking areas.
• Train and develop team; recruit and retain your staff.
• Manage labor budgets and food costs; uphold guest experience standards.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper equipment use.
• Communicate daily focus and feedback to partners.
