JOEY Restaurant Group is seeking a Head Sous Chef in Manhattan Beach to lead a high-performing kitchen team and deliver iconic culinary experiences. You will manage labor and food costs, oversee prep and execution, and mentor partners to drive continuous learning and world-class hospitality.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary in the $90k–$110k range plus benefits and growth opportunities within a multi-million-dollar restaurant group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years culinary experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain valid local and California Food Handler certifications and California Responsible Beverage Service where applicable.
• Passion for hospitality and track record of world-class hospitality experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen team and oversee prep and cooking to standard recipes and quality.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe cooking and prep areas.
• Manage labor budgets and food costs while maintaining efficiency.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members.
• Ensure delivery of iconic hospitality and JOEY standards to guests.
