We are hiring immediately for a full-time SOUS CHEF position at Stonehill College, North Easton, MA. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time. Days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous culinary or food service management experience preferred.

Pay Range: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour.

Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

Job Summary

Helps the Executive Chef prepare and cook foods. Coordinates activities of cooks and other food-service associates. Assumes responsibility for kitchen and food-service associates in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and standards, ensuring deadlines are met.
  2. Supervise hourly food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and counseling.
  3. Store food safely and follow sanitation procedures.
  4. Ensure proper food handling, presentation, and temperature maintenance.
  5. Maintain sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  6. Interact with customers to resolve complaints courteously.
  7. Understand and explain menu items accurately.
  8. Monitor inventory and supplies, track production and waste.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
