We are hiring immediately for full-time SOUS CHEF positions at Everest Academy, located at 5935 Clarkston Road, Clarkston, MI 48348. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary experience preferred.

Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Assist the Executive Chef in food preparation and cooking, coordinate activities of kitchen staff, and assume leadership in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food following recipes and standards, ensuring deadlines are met.
  2. Supervise kitchen staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
  3. Store food properly, following safety and sanitation procedures.
  4. Ensure food presentation, portion control, and temperature standards.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
  6. Interact with customers to resolve complaints professionally.
  7. Understand and explain menu items accurately.
  8. Manage inventory, monitor supplies, and track waste.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
