Job summary

Three Notch’d Brewing Company in Northern Virginia is seeking a Sous Chef to oversee kitchen operations, support line cooks, and assist the Executive Chef in production and staffing. The role focuses on efficient cooking, recipe execution, quality control, and maintaining a safe sanitary work environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in a high-volume kitchen, strong leadership, and knowledge of cooking methods, line operations, catering, and pastry.

Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively communicate and understand directions.
• Ability to manage kitchen staff and maintain safety standards.
• Experience in high-volume kitchen or equivalent schooling.
• Knowledge of cooking methods, line, banquet, catering and pastry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee line cooks and kitchen staff to meet production and cost goals.
• Train line cooks and conduct performance reviews.
• Develop, read and follow recipes; prepare hot and cold items.
• Ensure daily prep, inventory accuracy and food safety compliance.
• Schedule labor within budget guidelines; maintain sanitation and organization.
