Job summary

Compass Group USA at GWU in Washington, DC is hiring a Chef, Sous (Res Dining) (Full Time). The role supervises cooks and food-service staff, ensures high-volume production and adherence to recipes.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in culinary supervisory and/or Sous Chef roles.
• Experience in high-volume food service production.
• Ability to supervise hourly food service associates.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates including scheduling and training.
• Stores food following safety procedures and maintains sanitation.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when stock is low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
