Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a full-time Sous Chef for our Salt Lake City campus. The role requires 1–3 years of sous chef experience with large batch cooking in a fast-paced environment. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $24.00 per hour, with benefits and shift differentials for night shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of sous chef experience with large batch cooking and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and training.
• Stores food in designated areas following safety procedures.
• Maintains proper food handling, presentation, and serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils; ensures clean work area.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Explains daily menu items to associates and customers.
• Keeps up with peak production and service hours.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; reports low supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
