Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for PCB/STARLINK. You will drive supplier strategies, manage cost, and oversee RFIs/RFPs with engineering and manufacturing teams to enable rapid satellite production.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain, with PCB/PCBA experience preferred. Travel and irregular hours may be needed; on-site location in Bastrop is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, or supply chain.
• Experience with PCB/PCBA or electrical components.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and managing BOMs, work orders, and POs.
• Experience with forecasting, demand planning, and lead time analysis.
• Proven ability to manage high-spend portfolios (e.g. $10M+).
• Strong data analysis skills using Excel, SQL and PowerBI.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Work with key suppliers to develop sourcing and cost management strategies.
• Aggregate demand for hardware used to support Starlink to enable accurate signals.
• Serve as the supplier interface for RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
• Run RFX processes with internal stakeholders and implement sourcing decisions.
• Manage costs to meet project budgets and forecasts.
• Develop should-cost models for competitive cost analysis.
• Ensure suppliers support prototypes and mass production.
• Drive process improvements and cost-saving programs with suppliers.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX executives regarding contracts and cost reviews.
• Develop, manage and maintain strong supplier partnerships.
• Implement analytics tools to manage supplier performance.
