Job summary

One10 is seeking a Purchasing & Design Specialist to develop presale client deliverables for meetings, incentives, and events. This role involves creative program development, sourcing, procurement, negotiation, budgeting, and contracting with clients and vendors.

You will communicate with teams and suppliers to craft timely proposals, source rates and destinations, and help maximize client budgets while ensuring profitability for One10.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum four years of industry experience.
• Ability to work in deadline-driven environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong editing and writing skills.

The Purchasing & Design Specialist is responsible for the development of presale client deliverables for potential new/repeat meetings, incentives, and events. Responsibilities include creative program development; sourcing/procurement; negotiation; budgeting, and client/vendor contracting.

Scope of Work

• Effectively communicate with team members and supplier partners to ensure accurate and timely proposal development of travel projects.
• Deliver operational excellence and growth in collaboration with Client Services
• Source rates and availability and strategize on recommendations for destinations, hotels, resorts, ships and venues
• Develop appealing programs incorporating creative inclusions to maximize client budget
• Maintain awareness of emerging industry trends, and incorporate innovative themes, concepts, activities and events into proposals
• Consider client/program objectives, program history, attendee demographics, and budget parameters when formulating recommendations
• Negotiate competitive rates and terms/conditions on the client’s behalf, leveraging supplier relationships and seeking opportunities to enhance value
• Develop budgets and proformas, evaluating options to achieve client budget needs and maximize One10 profit opportunities
• Execute contracts, following established processes and ensuring Client Services and clients are informed and their best interests represented in all terms and conditions
• Participate in client presentations to present One10 travel‑related capabilities along with the specific solution recommendation
• Develop and maintain industry relationships including hotels, NSOs, DMCs, and CVBs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Maximum Base Pay
