Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Capital Equipment, Construction, and Wastewater Treatment (STARLINK). You will lead procurement for UPW and wastewater systems, develop strategies, and manage multi-million dollar CAPEX projects onsite at Bastrop, TX.

You will collaborate with engineering, legal, and operations to optimize costs, ensure compliance, and drive supplier performance. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in relevant fields or 9+ years with no degree.
• Experience in purchasing/procurement, contract negotiation, and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with industrial water treatment, wastewater, or UPW systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement contract management process for CAPEX and construction of wastewater and UPW systems.
• Develop and execute equipment & services procurement strategies for wastewater/UPW.
• Perform market analysis to determine should-costs and best deals for equipment and services.
• Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for major utility water systems.
• Define and implement long-term sourcing strategies for raw water, process water, and treatment systems.
• Create and negotiate contract documents with legal for CAPEX contracts and EPCs.
• Track and report spend, assess budgetary risk, and provide analysis for management decisions.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure clear communication and issue resolution.
• Present value propositions to SpaceX management for contracts and cost reduction.
• Identify and execute cost reduction projects and monitor progress.
