Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Global Supply Manager for Capital Equipment & Construction (Starlink) based in Bastrop, TX. You will manage procurement, planning, supplier development, and contract negotiations for complex projects, driving cost savings and supplier performance.

Ideal candidates have a strong engineering or purchasing background, extensive project management experience, and the ability to travel up to 30% including international trips.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, or construction and facilities management.
• 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, or construction, facilities, or industrial plant management.

Responsibilities

• Work with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process for project execution.
• Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet purchasing targets including payment terms, cash targets, and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to create strategic sourcing models that lower costs and maximize value.
• Identify and drive cost reduction projects and provide project updates.
• Define SLAs and KPIs for suppliers and measure delivery, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking, and analysis for assigned categories.
• Manage contracts to ensure supplier performance and align terms with business needs.
• Lead negotiations to maximize value and minimize risk, reducing waste and improving efficiency.
• Travel up to 30% including international travel; work extended hours as needed.
