Job summary

Microboard Processing in Seymour, CT seeks a Quoting Administrator to support quote workload by preparing status reports, reviewing customer docs, and formatting uploads to the quoting system.

Role requires 2–4 years in quoting, a Bachelor's degree, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables). ERP experience (Infor LN, CalcuQuote) is a plus. On-site position with cross-functional collaboration across Proposal Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2–4 years’ quoting administration experience preferred but not required.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP & Pivot tables) and MS Office proficiency.
• Project management skills beneficial.

• Review customer documentation with Proposal Manager and Microboard teams to determine requirements and data for quotes.
• Format and upload customer documentation to the materials quoting system.
• Monitor open quote requests with suppliers.
• Retrieve quote data from the quoting system.
• Create costed BOM, labor workbooks, and supporting quote documentation.
• Assist Proposal Manager with department metrics and quote reviews.
• Create, analyze, and report on purchase price variances (PPV).
• Analyze costed BOMs for accuracy and report to management.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain status reports needed by Quoting and Management to determine work load and daily priorities.


• Review customer provided documentation with Proposal Manager and appropriate Microboard teams to determine customer requirements, special processes, and other data pertinent to the quote effort.


• Format and upload customer documentation to materials quoting system.


• Monitor open quote requests with suppliers.


• Retrieve quote data from materials quoting system.


• Create Costed Bill of Material (BOM), labor workbooks and supporting quote documentation for submission to customer.


• Assist Proposal Manager with preparation of department metrics, quote reviews with executive management, and special tasks as needed.


• Create, Analyze, and Report on Purchase Price variances (PPV) per component.


• Analyze Costed BOM’s for accuracy and escapes. Report to management as required.


• Communicate supplier feedback to Purchasing and Program Management.

• Learning all aspects of the job and work on increasingly complex client quotations under the supervision of the Proposal Manager.


• 2-4 years’ experience onQuoting Administration preferred but not required.


• Bachelor’s degree


• Strong experience with excel and other Microsoft products
