Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN, seeks an ultrasound technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound scans for physician diagnoses using advanced equipment and techniques. You will work to ensure image quality and patient safety in a supportive care environment.

The role requires ARDMS registration within 1 year, CAHEA-accredited education, and specialty certifications (Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular) within specified timeframes, with ND licensing considerations for some sites and MSK

Qualifications

• ARDMS registry within 1 year of hire.
• Certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months; some locations have special requirements.
• ND license if working in ND location.
• MSK Certification within 24 months for certain department assignments.

Advance your career with Essentia Health’s dedicated care team in Detroit Lakes, MN. In this role you will provide diagnostic ultrasound scans of patients for physician diagnosis, utilizing diagnostic ultrasound equipment and appropriate technical knowledge and skills.

Education & Qualification Requirements

• Graduation from a Committee on Allied Health Education (CAHEA) accredited program in sonography and registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Licensure & Certification Requirements

• Registered by the ARDMS within 1 year of hire.
• Must be certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular within 24 months of hire. Staff assigned to work in the Ashland location are not required to obtain Vascular certification.
• For West Market and Brainerd Lakes Locations: Must be certified in one of the following areas within 12 months - Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Breast, or Nuchal Translucency.
• West: If in North Dakota, must have a current license on the North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.
• If working in Department 2010-2042320 MSK Ultrasound - SMDC HOSP, must complete ARDMS MSK Certification within 24 months.
